That way I can control the amount of how much of the more expensive oils are used in the combination and not just paying for something that is supposed to be an appropriate synergistic blend, but where they charge you for a blend with pricier plant oil components but skimp on the more expensive additions.The other beef I have is with MLM companies. Both YL and DoTerra have good quality artisanal oils but I do not support pyramid companies no matter how you present it. Pure, high quality essential oils are expensive enough as it is! We should not have to deal with mark ups for multi level marketing platforms on top of everything else! DoTerra will also try to tell you that their company is the only one with the CPTG rating. I prolong going to the doctor as long as possible, I try every home remedy imaginable before taking OTC drugs, etc. Having said that, I wanted a solution to help a cough without the use of cough medicine. A friend of mine mentioned that she uses this for coughs and my husband had a terrible cough and no regular cough medicine seemed to help (he takes a bit more convincing in trying oils and herbs, so he'd only gone the traditional doctor route).I got this oil to test on him and put a drop or two at the base of his nose (but NOT inside it - that will burn like crazy) so he would essentially constantly be breathing it for a while. A few minutes after I put it on, his coughing had significantly lessened! Instead of coughing every 15-30 seconds, it was once every few minutes.
