I've been searching for a good, easy to use diffuser for a long time, but so many of them were breakable and needed frequent cleaning. I had one that I stopped using because it got a lot of oil build up. I stumbled across the Aroma Ace here on Amazon, went to their site and read a lot of their testimonials, and decided to get one when I saw one in a local health food store the next week. They're not cheap. What sold me was the solid, compact size, how easy it is to screw in the 15 ml. bottle of oil into the attachable spout, snap it into the unit and, voilà, it starts making the air smell wonderful. Besides, when you pick it up and feel the rubbery, white pads on the bottom and hold the heavy, small white unit in your hand, it's sort of like meeting the Pillsbury Dough Boy's cousin. This would be rated five stars except that it is makes an unpleasant noise, and the scent fills just a small room and dissipates quickly once the unit turns off.I don't use this with the timers as an all day aroma maker because I find that the oil is just wasted if I'm not within 5 feet of it while it's on. Instead I keep it on my desk and use it whenever I feel the need to relieve stress, and improve my mood and energy. I turn it on medium and take a few deep breaths with my nose just a few inches from the output. I most often use Aura Cacia brand rosemary essential oil since rosemary is proven to reduce stress hormones as well as improve mood and mental performance... and it smells great! I'd recommend lavender at night for relaxation. Lemon, lime are also good oils for improving mood and energy. Pros:... It's so quiet. It makes a small amount of noise the more you increase the diffusing process. However, I sleep with a fan running so I never notice it. Even on the lowest setting it fills my home with aroma (1200sq ft). The reason I purchased this was to begin aromatherapy for several cardiovascular issues and so far I am not disappointed. This is money well spent. |
